The Acoustics program at Brigham Young University is one of the outstanding programs in acoustics in the United States. We invite you to explore this site to learn about the graduate and undergraduate programs and the exciting research opportunities we have here. Weekly research meetings are Thursdays at 11:00 am in C261 of the Eyring Science Center with talks covering a wide range of acoustics related topics. Tours of the acoustics facilities at BYU can be arranged (free of charge). Please see our outreach page or contact the group by e-mail at acoustics@physics.byu.edu. The tour may include the large anechoic chamber and the large reverberation chamber with simple demonstrations of basic acoustic (sound) phenomena. We have had groups from local schools and church youth groups visit. These tours can help young people who are considering careers in science or engineering to get a feel for one example of a focused area of study that they may one day pursue.
