Tours of the acoustics facilities at BYU can be arranged (free of charge). Please see our outreach page or contact the group by e-mail at acoustics@physics.byu.edu. The tour may include the large anechoic chamber and the large reverberation chamber with simple demonstrations of basic acoustic (sound) phenomena. We have had groups from local schools and church youth groups visit. These tours can help young people who are considering careers in science or engineering to get a feel for one example of a focused area of study that they may one day pursue.
