I am currently a visiting assistant research professor at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT. My research focuses on how stars evolve, with an emphasis on white dwarf stars. To accomplish this I use both ground- and space-based observations. For more information on this, and other projects I'm working on, please see my research page.
I teach classes in general science, physics, astronomy, and astrophysics. I use a variety of active learning techniques to keep students engaged and to increase the effectiveness of class time. For more information, please see my teaching page.
