How should one deal with nosy people who want to know when you will have kids?
My wife and I waited for a few years after marriage before having children, both us reaching the "ancient" age of 26 before our first child was born. Some of that was our choice (birth control), some of that was God's (it took a while for conception after we stopped the birth control). Invariably, there were people (mostly in the church) who would tell us to have kids, despite it being none of their business. I have heard similar stories from many other people. So, how does one deal with the nosy people?
I'm not sure you want to actually use any of these guaranteed "conversation killers", but just picturing yourself responding in one of these ways may help you feel better.
1. We don't know how. Will you explain it to us?
2. My husband is impotent.
3. We don't like kids.
4. The government won't let us after what happened to the *last* batch we had.
5. (with an evil grin) Actually, the cloning vats should be ready any day, now.
6. We plan to start having children when people like you stop bugging us about it.
