Are members who have smaller families "less valiant"?

I will quote from the Church Handbook of Instructions, pg 158.

"It is the privilege of married couples who are able to bear children to provide mortal bodies for the sprit children of God, whom they are then responsible to nurture and rear. The decision as to how many children to have and when to have them is extremely intimate and private and should be left between the couple and the Lord. Church members should not judge one another in this matter."

My comments- I think the statement "members should not judge..." says it pretty clearly. I have seen/heard occasional comments from church members to the effect that people who have more kids are "more good" than people who have fewer kids. Although people making such comments have a right to make a decision like that for their own families, I think trying to apply such statements to other people is out of harmony with the CHI teaching.

Note, by the way, that I do not place the same weight on CHI teachings as I do on scriptures-- the CHI deals with the administration of the church, not necessarily with the underlying gospel. Hence the CHI may change over time, whereas the gospel does not.
