Note: T [K] = T [°C] + 273 K = (5/9)T [°F] + 255.22,
T [°C] = T [K] - 273° = (5/9)[T [°F] - 32°],
T [°F] = 1.8 T [°C] + 32° = 1.8 T [K] − 459.4° ,
ΔT[K] = ΔT [°C] = (5/9)ΔT [°F].
If temperature is expressed in Kelvins, then the internal energy of a system, U, is simply proportional to temperature, i.e.,
U = constant T [K],
otherwise, for other temperature scales,
