OBSERVING PROJECT SCORING CRITERIA

*Total points possible:  50

Observations (20):
    Is the data sample adequate for your purpose?
    Are the data reasonably accurate?
    Are all essential data included, e.g., times and places of observations as well as observations?
    Is accuracy of data sample assessed (accurately so)?
    What effort did you expend in doing the project?

Conclusions (15):
    Do the data support the conclusions?
    Are there obvious conclusions supported by the data, but overlooked?
    What did you learn or gain from your efforts?

Report (15):
    Is the report well written (free from errors of grammar, spelling, usage, etc.)?
    Are the data clearly presented?
    Are the data presented in graphs or charts as appropriate?  Are charts and graphs clearly explained?

        *Bonus points will occasionally be awarded, e.g., in a project involving extraordinary effort.
