APPENDIX A. Elevations of Prominent Local Landmarks
Three elevations which are often of meteorological importance are those of the base of a cloud layer, the top of a cloud layer, and the snowline (during a storm). By reference to local topographical features, it is often possible to estimate these elevations without use of instruments. To enable you to do this, the following table is provided which gives the elevations (above sea level) of a number of prominent landmarks visible from the BYU campus.
