Announcements: (check regularly)
Aug 28, 2007: We will use both Maple (v11.0) and Mathematica (v6.0) this Fall. These are powerful analytical tools that you can use in a variety of academic and industrial settings. Both software packages are available in our classroom (105 SWKT) and in our department computer labs.
Aug 30, 2007: The syllabus, textbook chapters and lab templates were all updated for Fall semester at 11:40 AM today. Any files that you might have downloaded previously should be downloaded again. On the first day of class, we will help you to identify a convenient place to keep your files (there are several options).
Dec 7, 2007: Lab 14 is now available. This Mathematica notebook (.nb) file is an introduction to Mathematica, which is installed on the computers in 105 SWKT. Open the file and follow the instructions. At the end of each of the first four sections, there are a few lab exercises to complete. The later sections only require you to execute the examples provided and to explain the output produced.
