| Midterm Exams | |||
| There will be 5 midterm
exams in this course, some held in the Testing Center and some take home to
allow open-ended work time. Several will have an oral component. These exams
will be limited to the chapters indicated (but, of course, some concepts
from earlier chapters might be needed to address a concept from the relevant
sections). You will be allowed notes. In the past
this has been one 8 ½
´ 11 page of personally handwritten/typed (not
photocopied), notes. You will also need a calculator. As shown on the Course Schedule, the exams will be available for four days. You can take them any time during that period that the Testing Center is open. Be sure to check the Testing Center hours. |

| Final Exam | |||
| The Final Exam will be given
in the classroom at the regularly scheduled Final Exam time: You will be allowed to use
your textbook, any course handouts, your graded homework and labs, and any notes
that you have prepared personally. The Final Exam will be comprehensive, covering the entire course. There will be somewhat greater emphasis on any last sections of the text that were not included in the midterm exams, but you will need to study the whole course for the Final. |
