Department Help Resources

The Department of Physics and Astronomy provides class-specific teaching assistants to help students in almost all undergraduate courses. These teaching assistants usually provide the best method for getting personalized help with a given course. We also encourage students to work with their fellow students on the course material (except during exams and other work where instructors require individual work). Peer-to-peer tutoring is an effective way to help each other learn the material.

Personal Tutors

The department does not provide personal tutors. If you feel you need more help than the class-specific teaching assistants provide, you can look into the BYU Tutoring Services, a free service run through the Center for Service and Learning. Through TutorTrac, you can find tutors for your classes. Tutors can work with a group or one-on-one.
