Physics Outreach Shows, Demonstrations, and Instruction

We preform many outreaches for the community, both at and away from BYU. Our goal is to show students in grades K-12 just how fun and interesting physics and science can be. Information about these outreaches is found below. Please contact us if you have questions.

Our physics outreach team does outreach shows for local schools, scout troops and other organizations all over Utah valley.

We have 4 different demonstration shows that focus on different parts of the Utah State science educational curriculum (Mechanics, Electricity and Magnetism, or Optics) all of which are free.

We also have 2 shows (The Best of SPS and The Fun of Liquid Nitrogen) that are more focused on showing how much fun being physics student is ($30 per show).

To schedule us to come to your organization please contact our outreach coordinator, Joseph Chandler at Please check our calendar before you call to make sure we are available.

Please note that because we full time students at BYU, we do not preform shows during university finals, reading days, or university breaks (including spring and summer holidays). Also all outreaches must be scheduled a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.
