We are currently collaborating with Professor Harold Stokes and Dorian Hatch to develop interactive software tools for computing and visualizing structural distortions in crystalline materials. http://stokes.byu.edu/isodisplace.html Student researchers have the opportunity to apply these state-of-the-art tools to solve materials physics problems in advanced materials like superconductors, piezoelectrics and magnetoresistors.
