Neutron scattering instrument development

We are collaborating on the development of a neutron diffuse scattering instrument called CORELLI that is planned for the newly constructed Spallation Neutron Source at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Our student researchers run Monte Carlo simulations on the BYU supercomputers that test the instrument design.

Skills and Experience Required

Students will need to become familiar with the Linux operating system and a programming language.
