Summary:

Abstract:
Evolution of the bipolar radio jets from AGNs depend on the ambient medium through which they propagate.
The discovery of the young radio sources (called by various names such as CSS, GPS and CSO) that are evolving in the ISM of the galaxies hosting them, gives an opportunity to understand the ignition and evolution of radio sources in their youth.
Interaction of radio jets or shock associated with the jet contribute to the ionisation and outflows of clouds in the ISM. Such outflows are observed recently in several radio sources. Understanding these observations will help to understand the conditions that may have lead to ignite the radio sources. I will present here modelling of radio emission and some hydrodynamical simulations to study the changes in morphology due to interaction of jets with clouds in the ambient medium.
