The conference will begin early Monday and extend through Wedensday afternoon. A reception will take place Sunday evening, Sept. 20, 2009.
Most SILAP participants will probably choose to use the Las Vegas Airport. From there, it is a 2 hour 45 minute drive to Zion National Park, in the southwest corner of Utah. For those not wishing to rent a car, there are frequent shuttles available from the Las Vegas airport to St. George Utah (which also has a small airport), still about a 45 minutes away from Zion National Park. Conference organizers will meet the shuttle periodically in St. George and take participants to Zion National Park on Sunday Sept. 20, as well as return participants to the shuttle at the end of the conference.
The shuttle between Las Vegas and St George costs $20 each way or $35 round trip. A reservation is required to gaurantee a seat. It is not possible to make reservations by email. The shuttle, which is white with a "St George Shuttle" logo, pulls up to the Las Vegas Airport at the "zero level" which is one floor below the baggage claim area. The shuttle service does not have a desk at the Las Vegas Airport.
