About Scenic Area The SILAP conference will take place in the meeting room of Zion Park Inn, at the entrance to Zion National Park. Frequent shuttles take visitors from the hotel area into the park. Be sure to bring pleanty of sunscreen and suitable shoes and atire for getting wet. One can walk for miles in The Narrows, a 500m-deep ravine between sheer rock walls, where the only hiking trail is the Virgin River. For those wanting to spend extra time in the area, the north rim of the Grand Canyon and Bryce's National Park are each about a 2 hour drive away.
