The Physics department provides wireless network access in areas of the Eyring Science Center not covered by the official BYU wireless network. This network is ONLY for Physics and Astronomy faculty, staff, and students majoring in one of the Undergraduate or Graduate programs offered by the department.
In order to use the Physics wireless network, the following criteria must be met:
To access the network you must log in here and accept the above terms and conditions. You will immediately be granted access to the network.
The Physics wireless network is accessed via your Physics computer account credentials. The network uses WPA2/802.1X authentication, and any modern hardware and software – including that from Microsoft, Apple, Android, and Linux – should be able to access the network.
For most systems you should be able to gain access by simply joining the Physics network and proving your Physics username and password. For more detailed information, or if you are having trouble, please see the instructions below.
Coverage maps are available. Note: The goal of the Physics wireless network is not to provide 100% coverage of the department, but to offer wireless access where it is needed most. We welcome comments and suggestions about the Physics wireless network.
