Secure WebDAV with Web Folders

The following instructions are for Windows XP with Service Pack 2. Success may vary for other Windows operating systems.

In the following example, the word user is used in place for where someone using the instructions would put their username.

• Open up My Computer (either in the All Programs menu or the desktop)
• Select the My Network Places option in the Other Places menu on the left hand side.

• Select the Add a network place option in the Network Tasks menu on the left hand side.

• The Add Network Place Wizard will appear.
• Click Next to continue.

• Select Choose another network location.
• Click Next to continue.

• In the Internet or network address box, type: https://pdrive.byu.edu/user, where user is replaced with a physics username.
• Click Next to continue.

• An authentication box will appear.
• Enter a physics account username in the User name field.
• Enter the associated password for the username in the Password field.
• Click OK to continue.

• Type a name to associate with the network place (i.e. PDrive).
• Click Next to continue.

• Click Finish.
