Remote P-Drive Access for Windows

Connecting to the Physics & Astronomy P-Drive remotely will provide users access to their files and the ability to transfer files to and from other computers.
FTP access to the Physics and Astronomy P-Drive is now disabled. Secure access can be gained using WebDAV as explained below.

You can access your P-Drive from Windows using several methods depending on what version of Windows you are running:

Windows 2000/XP
NetDrive

This is the preferred method to access the P-Drive from off-campus because of it's ease of use and interoperability. By downloading and installing NetDrive, you will be able to access your P-Drive as if it were a hard drive attached to your computer.

Web Folders

If for some reason you cannot install or use NetDrive, Windows comes with the ability to access the P-Drive natively. This method is more cumbersome and may require extra steps to access your files, but it will work without downloading or installing any 3rd party software. This is also a better choice if you are using a shared computer.

Windows Vista
Network Drive

Windows Vista adds the ability to map a network drive to a WebDAV resource. This makes your P-Drive appear as it does when on campus.
